Delerium setting in, beginning to understand the cat more clearly. Cat must be losing it though, keeps trying to eat me and refusing to let me sleep for no good reason at all.
In the meantime, I am seriously trying to put myself (back) on a decent living schedule: I have specific times each day set aside for work, and am trying to make myself go to bed and get up at decent times. The work schedule so far has gone well; I got 16 hours of work done last week, but this week I'm on pace for an absurd 27 hours—four hours a day for six days, and three hours on Sunday which I may or may not do. And after trying it yesterday it really didn't feel like that much of a burden on my regular schedule for the day, which just goes to show how much of my time I really was wasting completely.
The sleep pattern fixage is having mixed results. Sunday night and Monday morning I went to bed at a (relatively) reasonable time and woke up at a decent hour. Last night I went to bed at about midnight, but for the life of me could not get to sleep at all. The cat was no help either; I ended up having to shut him out of my bedroom completely, and was finally able to get to sleep at probably around 3 or 3:30. And then I just could not get myself up, and after several tries and having fed the cat his breakfast I finally got up for the day at about 1 this afternoon. It's a work in progress.
Speaking of which, you may have noticed the new layout and color scheme for the site. It is still very much under construction, and by no means the final result. But what might interest you is the fact that the only changes that I made to the completely plain layout of days ago (an unmodified Zen theme) was the stylesheet. Out of all of the layout and color modifications you see now, including moving around the top menu and the search box, and what was and will be again the header image, not one involved any changes to the template layout files themselves. I did make a couple minor, non-layout-related changes to a couple files (such as going XHTML 1.1), but everything else is pure CSS.
The color scheme I made on COLOURlovers, but there's another one I found on Adobe Kuler that I might end up using instead. All of my CSS editing is done in CSSEdit for the Mac; I'm sure there are comparable Windows programs out there, but why would you even be using Windows to begin with when there's so much cool stuff available for the Mac? (Besides games. I'll give you that.)
