Upgrading my server package with NetworkRedux to their Silver Virtual Private Server package. Meaning, I'll be pretty much completely in control of my own server, which is something I've wanted (and been able) to do for some time now. It also means I need to be able to wrangle BIND on my own, but it doesn't seem too hard. I have some books on it and have a basic practical grasp of it, which coupled with an intermediate understanding of DNS means I should be fine.

There will be downtime. I'll try to have things back together as quickly as possible. The theme will probably be restarted from scratch, and there'll be other changes (coupled with much better planning); we'll still be Drupal-powered here, just hopefully with a little better execution. Such as with Gallery integration…that kinda failed. Also, Drupal 6 will be used instead of 5, because it's that much more awesome. And in the end better load times and moar kewl stuphs should ultimately be the major benefits.

The general idea is: we'll be right back.
